If your account is delinquent, Jackson Electric Cooperative will send to you a notice at least 10 days before electric service disconnection. If you do not reconcile your account after you receive the written electric service disconnect notice, you may receive a telephone call stating that your account is past due. This will be your final electric service disconnect notice. You will be subject to pay all electric charges and fees associated with the disconnection policy.
If you have questions about your bill or have been notified of an electric service disconnect, call us as soon as possible to discuss your situation. Depending on your account history, special payment arrangements may be available to you.
Winter Moratorium
Jackson Electric is not governed by the rules and regulations established by the Public Service Commission; therefore, service disconnection during the winter moratorium is optional for the cooperative, November 1 through April 15.
